The Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (actually it’s jade and you can’t take pictures of it. It’s the law!) This was fairly surreal on our first day out. Gold and shiny and tiny bits of mirror everywhere.
Did I mention that everything was covered with detailing. Murals in every hall. Ornate tiles. Gilt. Gold. Mirrors. It was the most ornate thing that I’ve ever seen. I liked it. I like the gew gaws.
All the blue faced dudes are demons that has been swayed to Buddha’s service. Very cool and tall.  Demons wear shoes. Monkeys do not.
