Day 13
Miyajima Island
An island so sacred that no has ever been born or died here. Well, except for that huge crucial battle. But other than that,
totally sacred.
Miyajima is also the site of one of the three most scenic spots in japan, the floating Tori, which you see here covered in scaffolding.

Tahoto Pagoda
There are wild deer on the island, but they aren't quite the beggars that the Nara deer are.
Daisho-in Temple
I sat amid the cedars in the sheltering temple and watched the misty raining.

Mount Misen
Since I had three blisters on my right foot, I decided to climb the mountain.

Goju-no-to Pagoda
A five story pagoda built in 1407.
Sejokaku pavilion
A unadorned temple open on all sides.
Just for point of reference, this is the mountain I climbed.
