Philosopher's Walk
Free day. Let's just say I earned my blisters, starting in East Kyoto.
Cool early morning light filtered, reflecting, pink and white.
Stroll, stretch, meander the temples.

Eikan-do Temple
With views of the Western Mountains.
Nanzen-ji Temple

Daisen-in at Daitoku-ji Temple
in North Kyoto
Despite gaggling hordes, the sun was warm and the gardens full welling with contemplation.

Ryogen-in at Daitoku-ji
Koda-tei, the stone garden of A-un, which represents the truth of the universe.

A-un means to exhale and inhale. Heaven and earth. Male and female. Inseparable opposing forces. Zen.
