08_06_08 Vancouver to Kamloops --

Our train made its way over the river and through the woods as the rain fell down. Water was quite the theme of the trip. Ever present in every form. Clouds and rain. Rivers carrying commerce. They carried explorers once. They carry salmon upstream. They carve the valleys. Sometimes following the path once carved by glaciers, that other form. Ice. Snow. Flakes as big as my thumb. Snow so thick that the only light reflected back was blue, even though sliced open it'd be clear. Water. Falling on the window as the train left town.
