Laurie King Reading

One of the nice things about living the Bay Area is going to author readings.

Since one of my favored authors, Laurie King, lives in the greater bay area, San Francisco is always included on her book tours.

At lunch, I made my way to hear a reading by Laurie King at Stacy’s and to hear her talk.

It’s always fun to hear an author talk about their work.

She did a reading from Locked Rooms, the new Mary/Holmes books, set this time in San Fransisco.

She answered questions about Mary and Holmes and gave some background on her families connection to the 1906 earthquake. Many of the memories that Mary experiences, were directly drawn from family stories about living through the great quake.

Too short as always, but great fun for all of that.
