Lemony Sniket's Series of Unfortunate Events

Description: A series of very unfortunate events befall three orphans.  

This is not a happy story about an elf in the woods. This is a story about unfortunate event after event. Parents die and buildings burn.

It’s also wry, clever, with a beautiful sense of Edwardian imagery. Black and grey and sunlight.

Jim Carey is quite clever in his multiplicity of roles, but really, it was the children I liked.

The little girl who played the baby, well, I don’t know how they got such perfect expressions. The older Baudelaire girl and her brother, they too were interesting and clever.

A funny, visually luscious movie.
