White Christmas
There's just something about a night at the theatre.
Getting dressed up in that special outfit. Meeting someone you care about and
sharing something you love.
My mother and I have a long standing tradition of going to
something new each year around Christmas time. I know it's February now, but...
White Christmas was in San Francisco for a limited showing
and it was worth a weeknight trip into the city. An excellent rendition of a classic musical movie.
The cast was excellent. The singing was crisp and
managed to convey the fun light melodic line of the songs without falling into
too much sugar. Also, nicely, the play included more
songs than are in the original movie.
The romantic repartee sparkled. The musical numbers were
light, fun, and very, very Christmassy. It was indeed very jingling and a very
special something of a show.
