Tea at the Fairmont
You know the funny thing is
this was an accident. When mom asked where I wanted to go for my birthday
and I said the Fairmont, I thought it was the place that Karen and I tried
and failed to go to for tea on Union Square.
Then again, when I was in
seventh grade mom asked me where in the world I wanted to go on vacation
and I said Greece, because of a long running joke. Turns out less joke,
more Greek vacation.
Turns out tea at the Fairmont
is a good mistake to make.
We had two teas between the
three of us. The Decadent and some other tea. Mom and I shared the Fairmont
blend. Karen had the Red White and Blue herbal. Both were very good. The
high tea food selections were indeed decadent and plush and delicicious.
The setting was likewise
opulent. A golden marble entryway. A large round tea area with couches
and columns.
Life am good and I have a
good mother.
